I have two of these 6 inches short USB extension cable for me and my sister to use with the Flip camcorder. I have a camera flip UltraHD and I have my old camcorder Flip Ultra 2 generations to my sister. The color of the cable is a bit 'off-white and you could say that it meets the white flip is what we have. I always recommend the short USB extension cable like this, if you have a MacBook laptop, notebook or netbook. If you have a long USB extension cable, lookcables that are sold by Flip. Is not an inexpensive USB cable extenstion long, because it might work. But for a cheap short USB extension cable, as it should work here, because for me it works. If you flip your connection to a laptop, notebook, netbook or a MacBook, you'll find about 6 inches short USB extension cable to be perfect.
FYI, here is a 3-meter-(1) meters USB extension cable, which would not work for my flip if my MacBook connected. Butmust work with the flip, when plugged into a USB card I had installed on the motherboard of a desktop computer. I think it could raise or lose but a longer cable would work with a flip, depending on the USB port that connects to the computer. But even if you have a MacBook laptop, notebook, or netbook, I recommend you use the other shorter than 6-inch USB extension cable.
